Lauren and Nick had a beautiful May wedding that really kicked off the Wedding Savvy wedding season! With Lauren's beautiful simile and Nick head over heels in love with his sweetheart, it was a day to remember and one that absolutely everyone enjoyed. Don’t believe us? Check out all the smiles on everyone’s faces!
The groom surprised the bride by making arrangements for their puppy to "drop in" on the bride in the morning! FLOTUS (is that not the cutest name ever?!) and her dog walker were outside Lauren's Air B&B and our awesome photographers Hans and Nicole caught all the magic! FLOTUS also made a "guest appearance" as the bride and groom walked across the Naval Academy yard to the reception at the Officer's Club.
The ceremony was stunning as always in the beautiful Naval Academy Chapel. Wedding Savvy always enjoys working with the talented team over there and they sure know how to get everyone down the aisle in style and ON TIME! Lauren's brother is a musician and was able to play her song as she walked down the aisle, it was special and a meaningful touch. And lets just stay that is not the last we will see of the most musically talented brother out there.....
Lauren opted to have all family photos in Bancroft Hall and while it was a short walk, the photos did not disappoint! Carla Pressley came along for touch ups of Lauren's hair and makeup and made our bride look and feel like a move star, great work, Carla! And hats off to Nicole and Hans as well for moving quickly and efficiently though those group photos so everyone could attend the cocktail hour in the alley at the Naval Academy Club.
About the Naval Academy Club...
Let me just say the team over there is fantastic! Lauren had a vision of a cocktail party with food out in waves all night long and people up and moving and dancing all night long. Lisa Washington brought Lauren's vision to life and with the help of the AUH -MAZING band "For the Win" people were dancing, eating and drinking all night long!
One of my favorite moments is when the brother of the bride took the microphone to sing a Blink 182 song and let's just say Mark Hoppus better watch out because this guy has some serious pipes! There were some moving toasts from the mother of the groom, the father of the bride, and the groom as well. The groom and his rugby buddies did a sing along that was reminiscent of their time together. This wedding was chalk full of fun, special touches, and meaningful moments. Hats off to Lauren and Nick or planning and executing a great wedding! Wedding Savvy was so happy to serve as your day of coordinator so you could relax and enjoy the big day :)
Here is what the client had to say…
“Absolute wedding sanity life saver & master planning services. Raquel worked with me to work out logistical details, flagging possible hiccups early to solve BEFORE the wedding day. The value of this showed the week of my wedding where the reigns were officially handed over and I simply relaxed & enjoyed. Our day went off PERFECTLY, literally PERFECT and where I was worried about time, we had EXTRA. Raquel was AMAZING., working seamlessly with vendors & was SO thoughtful. Examples: Snagging my mom from cocktail hour to ensure the reception was set up to her liking. Having an AWESOME plate of food for my husband & I pre reception, complete with our signature cocktails. Getting my flip flops for me so I didn't need to leave the reception AND cleaning our decor out of the venue (including band green room) so we had absolutely nothing to worry about the next day. I can't imagine our wedding day, or planning for it without her! My VERY detail oriented Marine hubby was super impressed too. Don't think twice about booking Wedding Savvy! “
